Truro Hockey Club - Salty Gecko Designs

Our work with Truro HC is pretty extensive. Since linking up with the club in 2017 we have changed their logo and created an in house style – rolled out through all of their publications. We then set about ensuring their brand voice was what it needed to be to attract new members and provide opportunity to the community. Then we set about increasing their followers on social media with a particular focus on communicating with parents on facebook, direct email and a wider audience on Instagram – this has worked to great success. Then we supported them in obtaining multiple sponsors and helped to give back to the sponsors with announcement videos, banner design and adverts. We also produce their annual membership handbook which is a digital handbook with hyperlinks within. This includes their sponsors websites and email links. Further to this, each season we update their sponsorship document and oversee its distribution. Creating adverts, announcements and posters is a regular task and we have also designed their popular new kit. Finally we designed their website – which is a Club Buzz website. This is a template website for hockey clubs, a membership system, payment system and selection system. Although much of the functionality is provided by Club Buzz – it still needs a designers touch to get it looking as good as it possibly can and we manage their content and imagery.

Truro Hockey Club continues to go from strength to strength and we love working with them.
